The Calm In The Storm (Power Thread)

Aegis made her way through the twisting caverns, her mud-colored paws making their way to the bright water of Love's Fountain. Her violet eyes settled on the cracked stone containing the beautiful water. It was a gorgeous sight to behold in a dreary-looking place; the perfect balance between light and dark. She walked up to the fountain and stared into its magic waters.
This was what she'd come for; to find her balance.
She closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh. I'm not scared. And she wasn't... instead, she was utterly terrified.
She let her black lips meet the cool water, and lapped it up slowly. She didn't have anything specific in mind. She was up for anything the spirits had to offer her. She lifted her head and opened her eyes, looking around, waiting to feel different.
A soft breeze blew through the cavern, then it turned into a gale, followed by a downpour from nowhere that chilled her to the bone. What is this?! She flattened her ears to her head, crouching low, searching desperately for shelter from the onslaught of rain. Is this how my power arrives? she wondered. Is this the power of a storm?
