These ranks are just renamed versions of their traditional counterparts.
*The Eagles are the alphas. They are responsible for accepting new members, creating alliances, attending any sort of meetings with other alphas, or other business of the sort. There are typically two, a male and female, though they are not required to have any sort of romance between them, and it is not required that there are two.
*The Falcons are the betas. There are typically two Falcons. Their job is to maintain the pack and territory whenever the Eagles are not present, and to report the happenings of the pack. The Falcons are also considered advisors, and their opinion on a subject should not be taken lightly.
*The Bears are the gammas. There are typically two Bears. They are the pack's artillery. The Bears are responsible for organizing protection of the territory from predators and enemies alike, as well as organizing hunts for the pack. Bears are expected to be battle-suited and a bit of a war strategist. The Bears lead the pack's "military".
*The Serpents make up the pack's "military". There is no set number, and they fall under direct jurisdiction of the Bears. They are responsible for carrying out the Bears' plans for battle and hunts alike, and for the general safety of the pack. Serpents are generally expected to be somewhat obedient towards authority, and battle-suited. The Serpents may also serve as a sort of scout, and are required to report any crucial information they learn across Apocalyptica to the Bears.
*The Foxes are the omegas of the pack. This is where any non-pup member is ranked unless given a specific rank. The Foxes are responsible for the well being of their fellow pack mates, and to carry out any duties that can't be performed by another member. The Foxes also serve as pup-sitters.
*The Butterflies are the pups of the pack. They have no real responsibilities, but are encouraged to explore and watch other members in the line of duty to try and spark a liking for a certain position.

The Lore
Their story wasn't a special one.
It began with a chaotic young soul; a mere dog who was curious about the world, and craved adventure. She gained the power of storms and tried her best to find the balance between good and bad in her life. Her name was Aegis.
It began with a peaceful young soul; a mere dog who wanted harmony and understanding between all creatures. He left his family behind to find a purpose in the world. His name was Albion.
Aegis was on a hunt one day, but she chose the wrong herd. Before long, a stampede was running across the field, and she was trying desperately to outrun it. She finally broke off and found shelter, only to discover she wasn't alone, for in the very same shelter was Albion, who had also outrun her stampede. The two dogs conversed until the sound of thundering hooves died down in the distance, and a friendship grew. The two often spent time together, puzzling each other with their opposite ways. He was the white, and she was the black. He was the timid, and she was the adventurous. They taught each other their ways, and they were each other's balance.
